Spring 2027: 3K-2nd Grade
Join us for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week! These classes are mixed-aged and are open to children entering 3K-2nd grade as of September 2026.
Our classes offer kids exploratory, independent nature education with the emphasis on social-emotional development that our standard morning classes offer, but with a little extra.
Since these classes serve slightly older children, we are able to take the fundamentals of our place-based, inquiry-centered nature learning to deeper levels with activities such as: map-reading and making, bird watching and identifying, learning about conservation, nature journaling, and the native people who originally stewarded the land we know as Prospect Park.
Our classes are child-directed and are led by our teachers with gentle guidance, warmth, and humor as the group navigates and explores Prospect Park together.
