Are you passionate about nature, child development, and teaching in the forest school model? Come join our team! We are currently hiring part time, full time, and seasonal summer positions.
Our classes are mixed age for children 2-8 years old. Our outdoor location, play based philosophy, and child-driven curriculum allow for children to be engaged and inspired to explore, create, and learn. We have a small class size, low student to teacher ratio, and meet outside in all weather. Our small and dynamic community and environment make working at Brooklyn Nature Days both exciting and an opportunity for growth.
Be comfortable & prepared to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Have a love for, and experience working with young children.
Have an interest in nature, animals, and the outdoors.
Be willing to get messy and immerse themselves in child-directed play and discovery.
Have strong interpersonal skills.
Be responsible, patient, and punctual.
Be comfortable collaborating with a team of teachers.
Be flexible and adaptable to our changing logistics and environment at all times.
Pursuing or completed a BA or BS, not necessarily in education
Previous experience working with young children between the ages of 2-8
