Creepy, crawly creatures!
Cicadas, hornets, and caterpillars abound in these late summer days....The kids observe the hornets buzzing in the fields in the distance and watch them prey on cicadas! The cicadas serenade us from the trees and the kids get excited to examine their exoskeletons...and we have discovered fuzzy green caterpillars which the kids built a home for by moving big logs, sticks and leaves!
